Majesty
Species: Leopard | Location: Khwai Concession, Botswana
Heading back to camp at the end of the final drive of my first trip to the African continent, I looked up to see this beautiful creature. Sitting in a low tree right on the side of the track in all her splendour! It was such an improbable sighting that the guide missed her at first and after my frantic whisperings of "leopard!" failed to get his attention I placed my hand on his head (for which I later apologized) and turned his gaze upon her. Even he was mesmerized by her proximity and beauty.
