A Great-horned owl sits perched on a branch, wings spread, ready to take flight.
I was able to capture some motion in the wings by using a 1/500 shutter speed creating a feeling of action in a still photo.
About The Photographer
Growing up in northern Ontario created within me a sense of adventure and a love of the outdoors. Friends and I would spend hours throughout the summer, biking, hiking, camping, fishing, boating or swimming in the lake. So, it's no surprise my favourite subjects to photograph are nature and wildlife. Both for their beauty and, the latter, because of the feeling of accomplishment when I get "the shot". There's not usually a way to control the animal, the lighting or the environment so when it all comes together in a perfect moment, and the shutter clicks, it's truly a fantastic feeling.
