African Leopard, Serengeti, Tanzania, United Republic of
Relaxed Vigilance

Species: African Leopard | Location: Serengeti, Tanzania, United Republic of

While on Safari in the Serengeti, we came across this African Leopard in a tree next to the road. Her power and grace were evident in every calm movement, surveying the realm around her tree with apparent disinterest. She kept her head up for a few photos before closing her eyes for a nap. The juxtaposition of her relaxed posture and her ever-attentive eyes create intrigue and tension in this shot.
