This dragonfly photo was taken in a instance where what you were planning to shoot and the opportunities that you simply can't pass up are at odds with each other. Initially my goal that day was some nice macro shots of flowers, instead came these two dragonflies that would not stop moving around the area so much so that I couldn't help but switch my focus. I love this shot because I was able to freeze this action of him perching on a limb for a mere moment in front of the pond before he was drawn into a scuffle with another dragonfly.
