2017 Wildlife Photo Contest

Black Howler monkey, Pantanal, Brazil
Sorrowful Howler

Species: Black Howler monkey | Location: Pantanal, Brazil

I took this photo of a female Black Howler monkey last July on a trip to the Pantanal in Brazil. I saw many Black Howler monkeys during the trip, and heard their call from a distance one morning. I always thought they had a sorrowful look in their eyes.

About The Photographer

I'm a web developer / programmer, and over the past few years I've become interested in photography, specifically wildlife. I try to take a couple of trips per year internationally in search of amazing animals to photograph.
