Species: Pacific Tree Frog | Location: Mount Shasta, Southern Cascade Range, United States of America

A Pacific Tree Frog sits perched on a leaf at the edge of a seasonal pond in Northern California. Hundreds of these frogs began jumping for cover as I approached the pond to photograph the wildflower bloom. This species is chameleon-like in its ability to change colors to suit its surroundings as can be seen here.
