2017 Wildlife Photo Contest

Red Eye Tree Frog, Alajuela, La Fortuna, Costa Rica, Costa Rica
Red Eye Tree Frog on a Heliconia

Species: Red Eye Tree Frog | Location: Alajuela, La Fortuna, Costa Rica, Costa Rica

Went on a night hike near Arenal and La Fortuna, in Costa Rica in April. Was fortunate enough to spot multiple red eye tree frogs, and this guy was hanging out on a heliconia flower. The composition was perfect for an iconic shot! With my macro setup I was able to capture amazing detail, and this shot is one of my favorites from the trip.
