Species: Elk | Location: Yellowstone National Park, United States of America
I came across this gang of Elk on my way out of Yellowstone National Park. The sun was around one and half hours from setting and so golden hour light was just starting to show. So I got out of the car and moved to get a better look. They were grazing on the other side of a small river from me, not that far from the road. I was looking around and noticed that there didn't seem to be a bull amongst them, which I thought strange considering mating season had just begun. It didn't take me long though to notice the pair of Antlers sticking out of the tall grass. That's when I turned my camera and captured this photo. Not too much later he got up and wandered over to the cows.
