Species: Hippo | Location: Liwonde National Park, Malawi
By Tristan Cooley
On our first day boat ride in we saw so many hippos. This one was tracking us as we went by and had a very alluring look as it watched us pass. It was my first day shooting on this trip to Mvuu Camp in Liwonde National Park, Malawi, Africa. Mvuu means hippo and this place lived up to the name!
About The Photographer
I travel a lot and always have my camera(s) at the ready. A recent safari in South Africa at Sabi Sabi Game Reserve which is attached to Kruger National Park really sparked my love of wildlife photography. Now I am trying to learn how to apply those lessons in more familiar settings. I am no expert, but a few more trips like that one and I'll know enough to think I'm one. Every time to shutter releases I still get a great thrill. Here's to that never changing.
