2017 Wildlife Photo Contest

Canada goose, Manitoba, winnipeg, neighbourhood lake, Canada
Mighty wings- you inspire me

Species: Canada goose | Location: Manitoba, winnipeg, neighbourhood lake, Canada

The power and resilience of migratory birds have always intrigued me. What could be a better example for one living in a Canadian prairie town - Canadian geese are everywhere in abundance.

I have seen them million times landing in water or taking a flight. However, when you see them with a telephoto, is a totally different ball game. The mighty wings, with different texture and colour of features are absolutely stunning. The power and force of landing is out of this world.

These huge wings are sure an inspiration of strength and believing in one self!

About The Photographer

I am a lover of nature and wildlife. I strongly believe that if one has a passion for photography in wildlife and nature, there is no need to look distant land. They exists all around us. One just have to heighten their sense of appreciation, observation and bring out the creativity to capture that moment. With a full time job and a son with special needs I donot get many opportunity to travel far for photography. My passion for photography and creativity therefore is limited to local neighbourhood parks, lakes and many times my backyard. My vision is limited with cataract in both eyes. The world looks stunningly beautiful through the camera lenses. I see everything so much bigger and better. My favourite lens is the telephoto zoom. This is what I say to myself everyday **The world looks so much beautiful through these lenses, capture every moment and cherish it for years to come**
