2017 Wildlife Photo Contest

Bald eagle, Chehalis flats, Harrison river, BC, Canada
Damn good dinner

Species: Bald eagle | Location: Chehalis flats, Harrison river, BC, Canada

This was taken in late December of 2014, while admiring the eagles who are visiting the Chehalis flats of BC every year to feed on the carcasses of the spawning salmon. While in fact its quite the site to see few thousand eagles gathered there for the winter months, getting up close and personal to one is a real treat. This (male I believe) was enjoying his whole fish for about 15 min and then took off to call it a night.
