Species: American Avocet | Location: Palo Alto, California, United States of America
It was a slow office day so I decided to take a long lunch and headed to this pond to take some photographs of avocet. There weren't a lot of birds that day but I decided to hang around to shoot anyway, suddenly I saw this mother avocet stood up and to my surprised there was a little chick underneath, sometimes patient and a little persistent pays off.
