Elephants at the Kazinga Channel

Species: African elephant | Location: Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda

Once a day, an elephant family makes its way down familiar paths crossing the steep embankment, down to the Kazinga Channel, the 20 mile long natural channel linking Lake George and Lake Edward. There the elephants join buffalo, hippos, and many bird species, quenching their thirst and enjoying a swim.
