Galapagos Sea Lion and Brown Pelican, Galapagos Islands - Fernandina, Ecuador
Stand-off on Fernandina

Species: Galapagos Sea Lion and Brown Pelican | Location: Galapagos Islands - Fernandina, Ecuador

In a small cove on the coast of Fernandina a couple of young sea lions frolicked while their mother was out fishing at sea. One sea lion caught a small fish and was immediately challenged by a brown pelican, resulting a rather lengthy stand-off. I am not sure which of them finally got the fish.
