Golden Monkey
Species: Golden Monkey | Location: Volcanoes National Park, Rwanda
While visiting Rwanda, I did a trek to see the endangered golden monkey. On arrival, the monkeys were quite active in a beautiful, but poorly lit, bamboo forest. After some time, and patience, the monkeys moved to the edge of the forest, adjacent to a clearing. After following the monkey in the photo for about 15 minutes, he finally stopped to eat in the sunlight. What a beautiful sight - amber eyes and back.
