Species: Common Corn Snake | Location: Chilliwack, British Columbia , Canada
This photo was taken of my corn snake that was rescued after being abandoned at the top of our lawn. She was sick and injured when we found her. She had a severe respiratory infection, and a mild case of mouth rot. These diseases could be fatal if not treated immediately. After I treated her with a homemade remedy for her symptoms. She quickly recovered. After drinking lots of clean filtered water, we provided her with a mouse that we bought from the pet store. She ate it quickly and happily. I shot this picture in the heat of the moment, near the end of her meal, when only the tale of the mouse hung out of her mouth.
An after thought was what what did that mouse go through to end up in my snake belly, inspiring my title, A Mouse Tale... I am a beginner, this is my first photo entered on this website, or anywhere to tell you the truth. I am not experienced in photography I take little photos of anything though this I thought would be worth a try, and here I am a entering it in a contest. I am excited to see where this photo takes me!
