Leopard in hunting tree
Species: African Leopard | Location: Okavango Delta region, Botswana
After watching this leopard dine on an earlier kill from a safari vehicle in Botswana, it casually walked past the safari vehicle, stopped and cleaned up a bit, and then moved on to the tree seen here. We were told that the leopard had hunted from this tree a few days earlier, and spotted the wart hog that ended up being its prey. Darkness was setting in, and the leopard was illuminated by a spotlight from a different safari vehicle.
