Elephant, Chobe National Park, Botswana
Four Elephants Drinking or It's Bloody Hot Out and Water is Good

Species: Elephant | Location: Chobe National Park, Botswana

While on Safari in Chobe National Park, we were lucky enough to have a herd of some 40 elephants decide it was time to get some water. The day was hot, and we were treated to a solid hour of elephant antics from swimming and playing in the Chobe River to drinking, and family herding. A wonderfully magical experience.

About The Photographer

Cropped beachselfie
An avid adventurer, Trip Leader, Outdoor Educator, traveller and photographer, I've been taking pictures since college wherever the journey has taken me. I believe photography truly is "painting with light," and don't try to 'capture' moments as much as interpret experiences to create an emotional response. From slides, black and white film and processing in the darkroom, to digital and computer editing now, I most enjoy the storytelling of a good photograph, as a means to share experiences and build connections, to relive memories and define those ever so important crossroads that mark our lives.
