Wild Dog Pups Ever Wary
Species: African Wild Dogs | Location: Savuti Marsh Area, Chobe National Park, Botswana
On safari we found a second pack of wild dogs in the Savuti Marsh Area, this one with new pups. While the pups were darting around in wide arcs near our jeep, they appeared very much under the control of their elders and snapped to attention at their Mom's command. As you see in the photo, even at a very young age they are already learning key survival skills of attention and vigilance.
