At Camp Denali, there are evening programs after dinner in the Lodge from which one has views of Denali, if the mountain is visible, and of Nugget Pond, which is located right outside the Lodge. While Ralph Clevenger, the fall photography week guest, was presenting his evening program, the owner of Camp Denali opened the door to let us know that a Cow Moose and Calf were in Nugget Pond. That was the end of the program as everyone quietly went outside to capture images of this special sighting. There were only a few minutes to take photos as the pair finished getting their drink of water and left the pond.
