Osprey Landing To Hunt

Species: Osprey | Location: Anne Arundel County Pasadena, Maryland, United States of America

As I was walking across the field, an Osprey was landing on the bare tree across from one of the nests. They often sit there scouring the land for any prey they can catch outside of the fish they bring in.

About The Photographer

I began doing photography about 8 or 9 years ago. I believe every person, wildlife,, landscapes and nature has their own story to tell. I love to photograph historical places and those that do re enactments/living history. I've made numerous friends throughout the years and consider it a blessing to know them all. My favorite animals to photograph are Eagles and Ospreys (Raptors). Just watching them flying, gliding and diving mesmerizes and fascinates me. To watch them fly through trees and land with ease is amazing. Photographing them catching their prey, building nests or,flying past me is challenging. I've learned to take numerous photos in succession just to get 'the one' photo that has taken my breath away. Even a building, tree, and flowers can tell you so much. It's all in your perception; everyone sees things differently. It makes our world so interesting.
