This photo was taken at High Island, TX during the seasonal migration. The sun was setting, the lighting was perfect and I loved the way the beautiful pink Roseate Spoonbill's wings really stood out against the green background.

I've had a camera in my hand since I was six years old, starting out in film and the darkroom. Over the past several years I've started photographing wildlife, more specifically coastal birds in and around the area where I live. The migration season is fascinating to watch as well as capture in camera.
