One eyed cape buffalo
Species: Cape Buffalo | Location: linyanti bush camp - kwando lagoon, Botswana
We came upon this large group of cape buffalo and the leader was clearly the largest, but surprisingly had only one eye. The other eye must have been damaged in a battle with another buffalo or perhaps a predator. But even with one eye, this buffalo was able to maintain his leadership position within the group. A fierce looking animal to be sure!
