Polar Bear, Ursus maritimus, Churchill Manitoba, Canada
What's up?

Species: Polar Bear, Ursus maritimus | Location: Churchill Manitoba, Canada

We were out for a day on the tundra truck in Churchill Manitoba during late November 2016. The freezing season was late and the bears were piling up in the area waiting for the Hudson Bay to freeze over so they could head out for food (seals). We had 65 bear sightings in 4 days, it was a fantastic time. This bear was wandering along side a tundra pond and he appeared to be following a female and her cubs, and she was keeping her distance from him. He was approximately 10 feet tall when standing.
