Stoic Mother
Species: American Bison | Location: Yellowstone National Park, United States of America
We were fortunate enough to run across a herd of American Bison in Yellowstone National Park moving calves to higher feeding grounds. Mothers and calves navigated among tourists' cars and trucks, with park rangers keeping watch over mammals and humans alike. There is almost nothing like being that close to them to really understand their size and strength. Even inside a car, their presence will make anyone with any common sense cautious.
