Species: American black bear (Ursus americanus) | Location: Grand Teton National Park, United States of America
A juvenile black bear was foraging on huckleberries in Grand Teton National Park on a sunny fall day. After having its fill, the bear drank from a stream and proceeded to cross in front of me. I had been sitting quietly alongside the stream for an hour hoping to get a photo of the bear. The beautiful animal just accepted me into his habitat. He knew he was safe with me. Crossing the stream in front of me with the sun changing coat colors in front of me was beyond my wildest expectation! What a moment of oneness with a beautiful animal in our universe!
