Protecting the nest
Species: osprey | Location: Sanibel Island, United States of America
I was observing this female osprey on her nest and at the same time watching several other ospreys flying around the area. All of a sudden this intruder came flying towards the nest. The female raised up on her legs in a threatening pose with her mouth wide open and foughtto protect her nest. She won!
