Water Moccasin
Species: Water Moccasin aka Cottonmouth | Location: Bird Rookery, Naples Florida, United States of America
Initially thought this was a harmless water snake until I posted it and was told it was a very aggressive, poisonous water moccasin. I saw him basking on the edge of the water about 10 feet away...he first turned toward me as if to threaten me but then realized I was thrilled to have discovered him with my camera, he got bored with 15 minutes of shooting him, he turned towards the waters edge and continued with his afternoon snack .
