2017 Wildlife Photo Contest

Red Fox- Vulpes vulpes, Swift Current area, Canada
I got your tail, bro!

Species: Red Fox- Vulpes vulpes | Location: Swift Current area, Canada

I absolutely love spending time with baby foxes. They are so much fun to watch and so cute and adorable. Each year in spring I try to find a den and if I am lucky I set up in a small throw over blind. Sometimes I will be laying on my stomach for 3 to 4 hours and nothing will happen and other times you are really lucky and get to see the pups playing with each other. I don't ever go near the den as to minimise my scent and always photograph them from a distance. It requires profound patience to lay on your stomach without making any movements and if you can be successful in that, you might just be rewarded with some amazing action.
