American Bittern with Amercian Alligator, Brazos Bend State Park Tx, United States of America
Revenge

Species: American Bittern with Amercian Alligator | Location: Brazos Bend State Park Tx, United States of America

While out walking the trails cam across a pod of baby alligators with their mother in close attendance. She had been snapping at the nearby herons and egrets while looking after her babies. While mom was distracted chasing some other birds a very quick American Bittern swooped in and stole one her babies. Revenge for all the snapping she had done at his feathered brethren!

About The Photographer

An avid birder from the age of 11 I am a Brit who, due to work, has moved to the US. Luckily Texas offers many avian subjects and photo opportunities and I spend my spare time chasing that "perfect" shot. Forty years on I am still searching
