Tortoise Battle
Species: Gopher Tortoise | Location: Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, United States of America
A tortoise battle of epic proportions! While on a stroll through a Florida nature trail my friend and I heard the clash of shells and came upon these two gopher tortoises in a territory war. The sounds coming out of these two small warriors were immense with bold hollow clonks echoing through the area. The fight went on for a good ten minutes and had us enthralled completely until the pair parted going their separate ways.
