Species: Cheetah and Impala | Location: Serengeti, Tanzania, United Republic of
As difficult as it was to actually watch this cheetah attack the impala, it was an unforgettable experience to witness the terrible violence of nature that I had only read about previously. The scene was a grim reminder of the animals' constant struggle to survive on the African savanna. Nevertheless, capturing the attack with my camera was exciting for an amateur photographer.
