Newborn Wildebeest

This newborn wildebeest must be on its feet and nursing within a short period of time to survive from the danger of predators. The wildebeest with the young one on the left has been attending the new mother. We watched as the newborn struggled to its feet, fell over, got up again, and then did it again and again. But it found its mother's nipple and was nursing within five minutes within the margin of safety.
