2017 Wildlife Photo Contest

Red Fox, Grand Teton National Park, United States of America
Look me in the eye!

Species: Red Fox | Location: Grand Teton National Park, United States of America

One of the cutest animals I have come across, the Red Fox looks anything but cunning.

I came across this beautiful fox lazing around in the Grand Teton National Park in Dec 2016. It was all cuddled up in the snow, enjoying a nap. I quietly took a few snaps and left feeling very satisfied.

Once I left the scene I missed the fox and while I was standing in the parking lot deciding if I should revisit it, it made a grand entry almost like a film star gracefully walking towards me. It sat just 10 steps away from me and posed like a professional model for almost 10 minutes before walking away.

I am a Software Engineer by profession, but have been clicking pictures for a very long time. I started off with a canon point and shoot and have moved on to Nikon D750 since then. I mainly shoot landscape and wildlife. I have been hooked on to wildlife photography since my week long wildlife shooting trip to Yellowstone since winter 2016.
