2017 Wildlife Photo Contest

Pika, Yellowstone National Park, United States of America
Pika eating flowers

Species: Pika | Location: Yellowstone National Park, United States of America

This very cooperative Pika was eating grass and flowers at the base of a talus slope. He would grab a flower (or stem of grass) and eat it like a person slurping up spaghetti starting at the stem and eating his way up until he came to the flower. It was hilarious to watch and provided a great "photo-op"

About The Photographer

Retired and now spend time pursuing wildlife and nature photography. Plenty of fun and gets me outdoors hiking and looking for wildlife subjects to photograph.
