I have always been fascinated by insects, and the sphinx moth, which resembles a hummingbird, is one of my favorites. He is approximately the same size as a hummingbird and flies in a similar pattern. This fellow was sampling the flowers in a field alongside Vallecito Lake near Durango, Colorado.
