2017 Wildlife Photo Contest

Chipmunk, Lake Ontario, Oswego, NY, United States of America
Can She See Me?

Species: Chipmunk | Location: Lake Ontario, Oswego, NY, United States of America

In my college course, Intro to Photography, our first assignment was to take photos for an entirety of 24 hours as we went about our day.

In the afternoon, I visited the lake. I heard this little fella scurrying in the bushes on the rocks of the shore. I followed him and took some photos of him running. Finally he stopped and looked straight at me. This is the moment I submitted here. That's when I decided to stop following him because I felt bad; I didn't want to give him a heart attack!

About The Photographer

Hi there! My name is Sarah, I'm an Art Major with a Graphic Design emphasis and a Zoology minor at an upstate SUNY school. I am working my way through school. I love art and animals, thus these are my areas of study. I enjoy photography and the outdoors. Exploring nature is a favorite past time of mine and although I have not been around many large wild animals in their natural habitat (which is what is usually seen in the typical wildlife photo), I hope to be considered for this contest. It is a dream of mine to travel the world and see wildlife in their natural habitat. Thanks for reading.
