Gusty Play
Species: Leopard | Location: Londolozi, South Africa
Our last game drive in Londolozi we came upon a pack of hyenas who had stolen a leopard's freshly killed impala. The hyenas dragged the kill into a clearing. Shortly after, a second hyena pack entered the clearing and the packs began to circle and fight. The young female leopard, in what could only be described as a gutsy play, used the opportunity to take back her kill and hoist it into a tree. We relished her victory as much as she relished her hard won meal.
