Species: Raccoon | Location: Canadian Gulf Island, Inside Passage, British Colombia, Canada
We anchored our boat, Voyageur (stern tied) in a little bay by Wallace Island in the Canadian Gulf Islands between the mainland of British Colombia and Vancouver Island. We got up early the next morning, the tide was out, and this young raccoon was creeping along the steep rocks above the water line, eating crabs. He was very intent on his meal and I kept taking photos, hoping he would look up, which he did.
