Every Fall gray whales who have summered in Alaskan waters migrate to the warm waters of Baja California to give birth to their calves. Springtime is ideal for whale watching in the bays of Baja California Sur. This particular whale seemed menacing as it headed directly for our boat. But it was a gentle visiting giant who dove deep and made barely a swell.
