Striking a pose

Sometimes, thing work out perfectly. This photo shows one of those time: This very striking male Red-winged Blackbird perched on a reed just in front of me and stayed there long enough for me to frame it perfectly, including by moving around a bit to maximize the lovely green background provided by the new spring leaves in the background. These perfect moments don't happen often, but I try to capture them as much as possible!

Although I specialize in bird photos, I am also fascinated by all that nature can throw at me. I've even been known to be inspired by people and their constructions!
