Humba, King of the Congo

Species: Mountain Gorilla | Location: Virunga National Park, Congo (Democratic Republic of the)

Humba is a silverback that is head of a small family of critically endangered mountain gorillas located in Virunga National Park, which is the oldest national park on the continent of Africa. After trekking up the mountain in the rain, the sun peeked out from behind the clouds to provide some beautiful lighting on Humba, who was enjoying a snack of the leaves that he had taken cover under.
