Species: Pacific Wren | Location: MacMillan Provincial Park, British Columbia, Canada, Canada
The Pacific Wren (along with its close relatives, the Winter and Eurasian Wrens) has a song that is far stronger than its diminutive size would suggest. In fact, some people consider it to be among loudest bird songs, when adjusted to the weight of the bird. So finding this bird using its song is not difficult... but finding good lighting conditions certainly is, especially in the Pacific Rainforest! This is why I was so happy to find this signing bird on Rainforest Trail in Pacific Rim National Park in British Columbia (Canada). It gave me quite a show and only flew off when other users of the trail walked by.
About The Photographer
I am a lifelong birder and photographer who found his inspiration on North America's Pacific Northwest Coast (in British Columbia, Canada). Although I specialize in bird photos, I am also fascinated by all that nature can throw at me. I've even been known to be inspired by people and their constructions!Follow Pierre on Twitter: @PCenerelli
