Species: Female hummingbird | Location: Westview High School, United States of America
Building a snowman was the kid's favorite activity in our area after the snowstorm last year while I was focusing on photographing hummingbirds and some other snowy scene. The idea somehow blinked in my brain suddenly. "How about building a snowman for the hummingbirds to visit?" I asked. "That's interesting" my daughter said. Then we started. We need to make it very small to match hummingbird's size, so it's too hard to build with just hands with gloves. Of course we used additional tools. Hummingbirds won't visit the snowman unless we embed a nectar holder and the holder must be white. It's hard to do the craft in cold temperature so the first try was failed. The second try was much better and I got this picture.
