Species: Great Gray Owl | Location: Quebec, Canada
Another one of my bucket lists, to see and photograph Great Gray Owl! I must have taken 3000 images of this one in just a couple of hours probably, as I knew I would not get a chance to see the great gray again for a long time (went from St Louis to Quebc, after one of my friends told me Great Grays were spotted there). I patted myself on the back for taking the pain to carry the Nikon 600 F4 with teleconverter, which helped me get some of the best images of this Great Gray. Got a bunch of static shots but a couple of gorgeous shots in flight. This one is one of them! Patience, apparently is the name of the game!!

Nature has been my inspiration for as long as I can remember. For the last 10 years, I have been trying to freeze it in frame. Have I succeeded in capturing what I saw? Not at all. But have I frozen a trace of that scene in my imagery? I would hope so. I shall keep trying. The world is just so beautiful.
