These two juvenile Verreaux's Eagle-Owls were clearly out of the nest, but not yet on their own, and I caught them observing the passing scene on a late February morning in Tarangire National Park, Tanzania.

These are my first submissions to a contest. I'm just an occasional photographer and lover of wildlife. These three photos were taken on trips to two very different and fascinating countries with a diversity of ecosystems and wildlife, Tanzania and Ecuador.
