Fishing Egret
Species: Reddish Egret | Location: Sanibel Island, United States of America
In an overcast pre-dawn light we came across this Reddish Egret fishing on the beach at low tide. These birds hold their wing up to cast a shadow which allows them to more easily see the small fish they are trying to catch. Its an amazing display to watch.
