Alaskan Brown Bear, Katmai National Park, Brooks Lodge, United States of America
Eskimo Kiss

Species: Alaskan Brown Bear | Location: Katmai National Park, Brooks Lodge, United States of America

I call this "Eskimo Kiss". Mom and her cub where looking at each other and rubbing noses. I love the gesture in this photo and how intimate they where. This bear is pretty famous along the Brooks River and a survivor. The Bear is known as "Divot". 3 years ago in 2014 she was spotted with a wolf snare around her neck. Because this was caused by humans the Rangers put together an operation to remove it and documented the whole thing on video.. They where successful, as you can see, with 3 cubs.
