Pandhera pardus, Indian Leopard, Ranthambore National Park, India
Stealth in the Brush

Species: Pandhera pardus, Indian Leopard | Location: Ranthambore National Park, India

Driving through the park on a very hot day, I saw up ahead was a large number of vehicles looking for the leopard. We passed the group and I spotted him moving horizontally along the ridge. I told our driver to stop quickly and and I saw the leopard making his way down. I saw the light and set up a quick bracket of 0.7 F stops up and down and waited for him to move into the spot of light on the ridge and shot only three pictures before he disappeared into the brush.

About The Photographer

Landscape and underwater photographer in my spare time. I have been in galleries, published pictures in a variety of calendars and local magazines over the years. But nothing beats capturing the photograph which conveys the emotion and grandeur of the animal or the landscape. Sometimes I just put the camera down and appreciate the view.
