Burrowing Owl, Oglala National Grassland Nebraska , United States of America
Keeping Watch Over the Prairie

Species: Burrowing Owl | Location: Oglala National Grassland Nebraska , United States of America

This Burrowing Owl is the only species of owl that is active during the day time, and was spending his day watching after his nest and mate. Due to heavily mowed pastures and the expanse of cattle these owls are becoming more rare in Nebraska.
